Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program of Family Service of Morris County brings services to employers and employees throughout the region as a means of increasing wellness, improving job performance and productivity, and decreasing health care costs and absenteeism.

Counseling, as well as value-added benefits such as financial counseling and eldercare services, are offered to employees and their families.

The Employee Assistance Program of Family Service provides the following:

  • Counseling for employees. This includes assessment, short-term treatment, crisis intervention, and appropriate referrals for employees and their families dealing with individual or family problems, finances, eldercare, substance abuse, or work related issues.
  • On-site emergency counseling and debriefing assistance to handle sudden workplace tragedy.
  • Training, one-on-one consultations and assistance for managers, supervisors, CEOs, and union officials relating to employee problems affecting job performance.
  • Orientation for employees about the program.
  • Training for supervisors and managers on handling troubled employees.
  • Wellness workshops on a variety of topics to meet the needs of today's employees.
  • Eldercare information, care management services and outreach to caregivers in the workplace.
  • Ongoing outreach and publicity about the program in the form of employee newsletters, payroll stuffers and fliers.

Family Service of Morris County contracts directly with companies interested in the EAP program on either a capitated or fee-for-service rate.
