David Haggerty

David joined FSMC in January after relocating from Syracuse, New York. He earned a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Syracuse University and completed his undergraduate degree at SUNY @ Oswego majoring in communications. He has a twenty plus year history in behavioral healthcare, specializing in outpatient Mental Health programs. Through his career he has developed clinical skills focusing on recovery based principles, as well as administrative skills creating effective and efficient treatment modalities. He is trained in Evidence Based Practices, Person Centered Planning, and Psychiatric Rehabilitation. David also has extensive experience in Public Speaking , both conducting group therapy and training programs for the community. David has been a member of the Consortium of Continuing Day Treatment Programs for twenty years and has held numerous posts including Conference Director and Secretary. He looks to bring his experience to FSMC as Director of Senior Services in creating sound programming for the seniors in Morris County.
