MMilitary Families Outreach

Family Service of Morris County (FSMC) was founded in 1813 to help widows and children suffering from the impact of the War of 1812.  Nearly 200 years later, FSMC is again building on its roots with the launch of an innovative program to meet the needs of today’s military families.

The Military Families Outreach Program assesses the unique needs of Morris County military personnel and their families before, during and after deployment and to provide a coordinated network of social and economic resources.  The need for coordinated community support of health and human services is underscored by the ongoing deployments affecting all branches of military services.

Services are provided by Family Service of Morris County, with assistance from a Military Families Advisory Committee consisting of representatives from the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, NJ National Guard Family Programs, the Picatinny Arsenal, and CLA Veterans Services.
